Mentoring, Enriching & Empowering the Lives of Young Women.

“To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; to leave the world a little better; whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is the meaning of success.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson

What can I say about Mrs. LaDonna Knabbs? Mrs. Knabbs possesses work ethic skills that can’t go unrecognized. She is dedicated to making My Sister House for Girls the best non-profit organization that serves girls at every level. Her passion and willingness to reach and teach these young ladies are above all else. LaDonna’s professionalism when it comes to completing projects or organizing ideas speaks for itself. Kim Barnett, My Sister's House For Girls, Parent

With the help of the My Sister’s House for Girls program I successfully graduated high school, graduated from the University of Toledo with my bachelor’s and master’s degree in Criminal Justice, and now help first generation students like myself get prepared for college with the Bowling Green State University Upward Bound TRiO program. I owe all my success to the help from LaDonna Knabbs and this amazing program inside My Sister’s House for Girls.

I’ve been fortunate enough to see the My Sister’s House Organization grow from its inception, and throughout the years they have been consistent, impactful, and effective. I credit this to the trail-blazing change agent LaDonna Knabbs. She is innovative, passionate, and genuine.

Her creative approach to programming is person-centered, she doesn’t believe in a one size fits all program, which I think is her secret to success. If you have the chance to work with LaDonna, you are better for it. She inspires everyone she meets and helps everyone she encounters.

The best moments shared with my mentor are when she shared her personal and professional life challenges with me. It helped me realize how we are similar in so many ways. Our regular conversation helped me grow immensely both personally and professionally.
