Program Development/Implementation

COMMITMENT TIME:
Fall/Spring or Summer Semester
(10 to 20 hours per week)

AREAS OF INVOLVEMENT:
This position is an excellent fit for individuals looking to develop
skills in non-profit program management. The Program
Administration intern position will provide support to all aspects
My Sister’s House for Girls programming. He or she will assist the
Executive Directors in administration of programming.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage communication with program providers and other partners
  • Manage communication and attendance teen participants and parents
  • Verify accuracy of program logistics and enter information into MSHFG database
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of meetings and orientations
  • Support supervisors in maintaining professional relationships with local partners and
    employers
  • Support programs department, with tracking of expenses and data entry
  • Support program teams with special initiatives, events, and recruitment needs as assigned
  • Monitor community partner compliance through weekly tracking of enrollment and
    attendance
  • Collaborate effectively with the entire Program Quality Division in an effort to support quality
    programming
  • All other assigned duties.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Creative self-starter who is comfortable with both taking imitative and working in
    collaboration
  • Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously, and to provide
    effective follow up with staff.
  • Practical problem-solving skills and ability to suggest and implement alternatives.
  • Sensitivity to persons of different educational, economic, cultural or racial backgrounds.
  • Required to maintain strict confidentiality and professional/ethical standards.
  • Dependability, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software; excellent familiarity with Excel

VOLUNTEER CATEGORY:
Marketing Department (Branding)

COMMITMENT TIME:
Fall/Spring or Summer Semester
(10 to 20 hours per week)

AREAS OF INVOLVEMENT:
The Graphic Design Intern is responsible for providing support for
the marketing department through a variety of channels, print,
digital, web, video and other assigned duties. The Graphic Design
interns will report to the Marketing Director and will assist with the
development and design of core MSHFG graphics, logos, event
materials and a variety of other creative tasks as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare images to coincide with social and blog posts
  • Assist with website and blog updates
  • Assist with collateral updates and version control
  • Creation of various logos for products
  • Assist with video production (shooting, editing, etc.)
  • Create and design print and digital materials
  • Retouch and manipulate images
  • Adhere to brand guidelines and complete projects according to deadline
  • Other project as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graphic Design major preferred
  • Basic knowledge of layouts, typography, line composition, color and other graphic design fundamentals
  • Experience with InDesign, Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Strong Creative and analytical skills
  • Compelling portfolio of graphic design work
  • Excellent computer knowledge for both MAC and PC environments.
  • Writing and proofing skills are also required.
  • Practical problem-solving skills and ability to suggest and implement alternatives.

AREAS OF INVOLVEMENT:
Forward-thinking fast paced organization looking for intern with
strong knowledge and understanding of the digital media
landscape, including various social media websites. Company is
currently expanding the social media presence. Candidate needs
to have a “do what it takes” attitude with a proven record of
accomplishment in social media.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Grown online social networks by increasing fan-base and interactions.
  • Monitor and post on blogs, forums, and social networks
  • Collaborate with client success team to ensure a consistent campaign and relative content
  • Online outreach and promotion using Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and more
  • Familiarity with social medical analytics such as Facebook insights to assess trends and
    Twitter Analytics and keyword analysis
  • Review data on the performance of social media platforms and adjust plans or strategies to
    optimize outreach
  • Performs research to find articles, stories, resources or other content that is relevant photos,
    video or other content from activities and events

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Required to maintain strict confidentiality and professional/ethical standards.
  • Experience with basic photo editing and video editing, is not necessary but it is a plus
  • Familiarity with main stream social media platforms.
  • Experience in leading, teaching and/or in youth development works a plus.
  • A personal laptop or access to a computer.
